I think this is perfect for a teen or adult to use at home to get that perfect look. The thermal brush heats up pretty nicely and I like that there is a glove included to help reduce the chance of getting burned. The cord is a decent length and I love that it swivels to make styling easier. It helps give your hair volume and shine. This display is fairly easy to see as well. I love the safety feature of the automatic shut off. This is imperative to me for all heating hair products. Works great!

I have thick, naturally curly hair that likes to get frizzy, so I'm using this mainly to smooth my hair follicles without straightening it. It does heat up quickly, and I like that it has a digital readout to display both the temperature and it says OFF when it is off. (As someone who has a fear of burning down their house by leaving styling tools on by accident, having both the OFF readout and the auto-off after 60 minutes is very helpful). This isn't a blow dryer it's more like a heated brush that you use on dry hair. I brush through my hair like I would with a normal round brush, and it smooths the hair to make it behave. It also comes with a protective glove and hair clips, but to be honest, I don't use either on a regular basis. The buttons have a locking feature on them so that you don't accidentally change your settings while using it, which is nice. FYI You have to "double press" the power button to remove the lock.) I don't have a lot of skill when it comes to styling my hair (I'm a "ponytail and forget it" girl, but this was easy to use. The result was smooth, wavy hair with only about 10 minutes of brushing (5 per side). At the time of this review, the price of this heat brush is less than $20, so I'd say that it is a really good value.
